About Me

Owl Bird Silhouette

I have traveled, camped and hiked all over this great country of ours. From Maine to Alaska, I have experienced our natural world and this gives me great insight and vision for completing the best job for you. As I refelect back on the travels and experiences that I have had, seeing nature in its most raw and beautiful form, I am inspired to create original mounts that place these animals in the best positioning and environment. You can trust me with your best hunting memories.

Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Amy Creider, a certified taxidermist and lover of all things outdoor. I have been doing taxidermy since I was thirteen years old. When visiting my Uncles farm I found some ducklings that had drowned. After doing some research I took those small animals and my first taxidermy project had begun! I then continued my hobby by picking up roadkill to practice on and having “roadkill parties” with my friends. I have come a long way in my craft since those first projects. I went to Montgomery Community College and got my diploma in taxidermy with certificates in mammals and fish. While attending MCC I was inducted into the National Honor society as well. I continue my education with private lessons by local mentors.

At the 2023 NC Taxidermy Convention I entered and won 2nd place for my pheasant pictured above.
